Stay healthy and avoid eating lots of junk food, drinking coffee or alcohol, or studying late into the night. It is often hard to avoid the temptation of fizzy drinks, fast food and quick sugar fixes, but your body and mind will thank you for avoiding these things. Sugary drinks, tea and coffee all contain caffeine and this can affect your ability to think clearly.

Keep your mind active and motivated by eating regularly and healthily. If you don’t drink enough water you could dehydrate yourself and you may start to suffer from headaches, tiredness and poor concentration. On the morning of your exam, make sure you have a good breakfast. Wholegrain cereals (e.g. bran), porridge, egg or toast are all slow energy burners so will keep you going for longer.
