Landscape-Students-Head-To-Edinburgh

If your interests lie in creating and managing outdoor space and you are currently studying on a course which relates to that, what better reason is there to visit Gardening Scotland? Borders College’s Landscaping students (Levels 1-3) headed to the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh on Friday 29th May to see what was on offer at the biggest plant show in Scotland. Financial assistance from Borders College Students Association was requested by the Class Reps and this was approved, helping with the overall cost.

The planted displays provided a great deal of inspiration to the students, who learned some of the Latin names of the species used. The design plans and different layouts gave inspiration for future ideas. Networking opportunities were also provided. It was also good to see so many new accessories and devices displayed in the wide variety of over four hundred trade stands, not only for garden use but the home as well.
